Managing Meetings
Everyone has attended meetings that waste their time. This program is designed to ensure that both meeting leaders and meeting participants perform properly in meetings. We’ll discuss when it is and is not appropriate to actually hold a meeting versus other means of communication. If a meeting is required, participants will then learn both how to lead the meeting effectively, and how to be a great and helpful participant.
By the End of the Program Participants Will:
Set objectives that drive meeting planning decisions.
Identify whom to communicate with and when.
Match the room setup with meeting objectives.
Develop effective meeting agendas.
Use tactics to handle the obstacles that develop during a meeting
.
Discover ways to take charge - even when they don’t have direct authority.
Effectively disarm those that want to take over their meeting.
Employ a step by step procedure for handling meetings from start to finish.
