Supervisory Skills

Learn to apply proven supervisory techniques and tools to succeed in your new role as Supervisor. The Supervisor has a difficult job today – responsibility for supervising people who need to react quickly to changing times and be proactive to prevent problems from hindering the operation – a fine line for anyone.

In this program, the participant will be exposed to the functional responsibilities of the job and learn how and when to integrate them. Learn how to manage change and the behaviors associated with change. Understand how to provide critical feedback instantaneously and get the needed performance change. Learn how to deal with all employees in a fair and legal manner .

By the End of the Program Participants Will:

Practice methods to plan, organize, communicate and monitor progress of self and others.

Apply the most appropriate supervisory style to individuals and situations.

Role-play effective communication techniques and constructive criticism.

Discuss techniques for coping with difficult employees.

Practice coaching and counseling techniques.

Demonstrate delivery of an effective performance appraisal – regardless of the paperwork system.
