Writing Proposals

A good written proposal begins with a clear strategy. Even excellent writers can become daunted when faced with selling an important idea, product, service or recommendation in writing. This program leads participants through the structure and key questions that must be answered to successfully represent themselves with key decision-makers.

Attention to the structure and flow of the document, the balance between selling and objectivity, sensitivity to ‘political’ issues and optimizing the use of white space are all covered.

Two weeks after the program, each participant will receive an hour of one-on-one coaching to edit a real-life proposal for maximum impact.

By the End of the Program Participants Will:
Clarify the objective(s) of their proposals.

Structure their proposals appropriately for optimal impact.

Ask themselves powerful questions that ensure the decision-maker’s questions are addressed appropriately within the proposal.

Avoid the pitfalls of political minefields that so often derail solid proposals.

Create and control tone to elicit the right response.

Discuss effective proposal submission and follow-up processes.

Submit proposals that are easy to read and geared both structurally and visually for success.
